CRS Partners in East Timor
CRS supports projects that are implemented by church and non-church partners such as the Diocesan Justice and Peace Commissions, farmers' groups, local NGOs, and women's groups as well as some programs of the new government in different districts.
One of CRS' strongest local partners is FOKUPERS, which stands for the Forum of Communication of Women of East Timor. It was established in 1997 to work with women victims of violence and to fight for women's rights. CRS works with FOKUPERS in the Engaging Civil Society Project.
