Catholic Relief Services works in Liberia to promote the human dignity and well being of people in the most isolated and economically disadvantaged regions of the country. CRS Liberia's programming is based upon the principles of Catholic Social Teaching, which seeks to create a more just social order by eliminating inequalities and promoting full and fair access to basic goods and rights.
CRS Liberia's work in the coming years will seek to assist people in recovering from the fourteen years of civil conflict that are now coming to an end. CRS will focus attention and resources on addressing the country's structural injustice, to create the foundation of community organization necessary for broad citizen participation.
