In January 2010, 80% of the St. Francois de Sales hospital, an important but older health facility in Port-au-Prince, was destroyed in the 2010 Haiti earthquake.

Catholic Relief Services (CRS), in partnership with the Archdiocese of Port-au-Prince and with funding from the Catholic Health Association and Fundación Sur Futuro, rebuilt the hospital as a modern, 200-bed health facility which will serve as a teaching hospital.

Last Thursday, almost 5 years to the day of the 2010 Haiti earthquake, the new hospital was dedicated in a ceremony. Baltimore's Fox 45 News reports on the rebuilding of St. Francois de Sales hospital:
