Catholic Relief Services has been present in the Middle East/North Africa region for over 50 years. CRS currently supports programs that alleviate human suffering through emergency assistance to the victims of two earthquakes in Turkey, the drought in Morocco, the humanitarian crisis in Iraq, and the conflict in Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza. CRS promotes integral human development, justice and peace,and solidarity though programs vary widely in scope, from microfinance and health to peace building and interfaith understanding.
