Concern for our neighbour transcends the confines of national communities and has increasingly broadened its horizon to the whole world.
— Deus Caritas Est
His Holiness Benedict XVI

Our work in the United States focuses on a single mission: to help Catholics here at home put their faith into action. The Gospel calls us to care for one another as brothers and sisters, to live as one human family. CRS invites you to respond to that call by learning about the issues that keep our brother and sisters overseas in poverty. We invite you to pray with us and to speak out for those whose voices are not heard. We invite you to get involved in the Church's work to care for our neighbors around the world.

Since 2002, CRS has worked with dioceses, parishes, schools and organizations throughout the United States to offer Catholics at home concrete ways to "contribute to the progress of the world," as His Holiness Benedict XVI urged in his message on the World Day of Peace 2007. Just as you support CRS to help the poorest and most vulnerable overseas improve their lives, we work with you to help build a world free from the devastating effects of poverty, war and injustice.
