At Catholic Relief Services, we pray that the new calendar year finds you in a deepening relationship with Jesus Christ. We pray that you are filled with increasing faith in the coming year. And as we pray for you, we thank God for you. You fill us—and so many around the world—with gratitude.

As encouragement to you during the year ahead, we'd like to share a story about a family in the Philippines that you've touched. You have helped provide them with simple gifts that are making their trauma easier to bear.

To celebrate this Catholic faith we share, we invite you to visit CRS FaithWorks, which reveals how the Catholic faith is practiced around the world.

As you continue your Year of Faith journey, please visit our Year of Faith site, which offers prayers, readings and resources to help enrich your devotional experience.

We leave you with words of peace for a new year with this annual message from Pope Benedict XVI.

May God richly bless you as you bless the world's poorest this new Year of Faith.
