Global Fellows: A Parish Homily Program
The Catholic Relief Services' Global Fellows: A Parish Homily Program connects priests, deacons, and seminarians with our brothers and sisters in the developing world. Through an overseas immersion trip, Global Fellows experience the plight of the poor and marginalized overseas. Upon their return, CRS empowers priests, deacons, and seminarians to preach in parishes across the U.S. about social justice and peace around the world. The Global Fellows: A Parish Homily Program also engages Catholics with the world's poor by inviting them to act on the inspirational stories they hear when a Global Fellow visits their parish.
The Global Fellows: A Parish Homily Program currently has 45 Global Fellow Speakers who are ready to speak in your parish about the good work CRS is doing on your behalf. To join the Global Fellows: A Parish Homily Program or to invite a Global Fellow Speaker to you parish or community, call 410.951.7336 or e-mail globalfellows@crs.org.
We are always looking for priests and deacons who have an interest in spreading the word about the global mission of the CRS. If you know (or are) a priest or deacon who can deliver a compelling homily about the social mission of the Church then complete and submit the referral form for Global Fellows: A Parish Homily Program.
The Global Fellows: A Parish Homily Program is currently in partnership with three seminaries: St. Mary's Seminary in Baltimore, St. Mary's Seminary in Cleveland and Mundelein Seminary in Chicago. These three seminaries have partnered with CRS to provide their seminarians with a deeper understanding of global solidarity, the global Church and the work of CRS.
