Guess Who's Living Leviticus 19:33–34?

When an alien resides with you in your land, do not mistreat such a one. You shall treat the alien who resides with you no differently than the natives born among you; you shall love the alien as yourself; for you too were once aliens in the land of Egypt. I, the LORD, am your God.

Haitians cross the border into the Dominican Republic, hoping to find work that will sustain them and their families. What they find is often little better than what they left behind. Your support of Catholic Relief Services is enabling Haitian sugarcane workers to improve their lives.

By championing a program that helps seasonal workers from Mexico navigate the U.S. visa process, you provide farmers with desperately needed workers, protect laborers from predatory recruiters and keep produce flowing to supermarkets across the country. The end result benefits farmers and laborers.

Beyond the immediate and obvious damage done by human trafficking, its lasting effects can cast a long shadow on a person's life. Catholic social teaching guides the approach CRS takes to help those rescued from this multibillion-dollar industry. In India, CRS works with partner Prerana to emphasize the humanity and dignity of young women who've been trafficked.

On behalf of all the lives you help sustain, protect and, frequently, save, thank you.

To all our dads: Happy Father's Day!
