Media CenterWeek of Action Kicks Off to End World Hunger
Caritas Internationalis, the worldwide Catholic charitable organization of which Catholic Relief Service is a part, has launched a weeklong effort to raise awareness of its "One Human Family: Food For All" campaign to end hunger throughout the world.
CRS is backing the Caritas Week of Action from October 12 to 19 that includes World Food Day on October 16. To find more information, and to view a view of Pope Francis supporting the campaign, please visit http://crs.org/hunger/.
“’I was hungry and you gave me something to eat,’” Pope Francis says, quoting the gospel. “The words of our Lord call us today, telling us not to turn away, indifferent, when we know our neighbor is hungry.”
