As part of Catholic Relief Services' (CRS) ongoing emphasis on malaria prevention, CRS will distribute more than 1 million treated bed nets to prevent malaria in the Gambia. From All Africa:

The government of The Gambia and the Catholic Relief Services (CRS) recently launched a campaign that will see the distribution of 1, one million and seventeen thousand, nine hundred and sixty-three (1017, 963) Long Lasting Insecticide Treated Mosquito Nets (LLINs) across the country. The initiative, launched at the July 22nd Square in Banjul last Thursday during the final meeting of the presidential dialogue with the people tour, formed part of efforts by the government and CRS to consolidate gains in the nation's efforts to making The Gambia a malaria-free nation.
