USIP and CRS Action Research on Intergenerational Interreligious Peacebuilding in Northern Ghana

Phases 2 and 3 Report, June 2022

This report details findings from an action-learning collaboration involving CRS and its Sahel Peace Initiative, the U.S. Institute of Peace, and leading Ghanaian peace organization CECOTAPS (Center for Conflict Transformation and Peace Studies) on the topic of intergenerational interreligious peacebuilding. The assessment examines the impact of youth and community leaders’ joint participation in intergenerational interreligious peacebuilding, as well as the extent to which religious leaders are effective and reliable mobilizers of young people for peaceful engagement. It offers recommendations for those working towards peace in Ghana and beyond.
